Manager - Tax Compliance

Agnieszka Anastasi

Agnieszka joined Sheltons in 2016 and is a Manager responsible for Tax Compliance at the Sheltons office in Malta.

She graduated in 2013 with a Master’s degree in Finance and Accountancy from the University of Economics in Poznań, Poland, and has undertaken the Course on Taxation at the Malta Institute of Taxation to further develop her expertise in the field of taxation.

Agnieszka coordinates tax compliance engagements, overseeing the preparation and review of corporate tax filings, ensuring full compliance with applicable legislation, and advising on ongoing reporting obligations.

During her free time, she enjoys travelling around the Europe with her family.

Apart from her native Polish and English, Agnieszka is learning Maltese.

Business Strategy Advisory & Funding Specialist

Albert DeBono

Albert Debono joined Sheltons in 2025 and works with the firm as a Business Strategy Advisory and Funding specialist, supporting clients from the Sheltons office in Malta.

Albert has experience in C-suite roles with both public and private sector organisations, as well as managing boutique consultancy firms specialising in EU and national funding, business planning, and growth strategy for companies operating in Malta and internationally. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Malta.

Through his work, Albert supports entrepreneurs, SMEs, and international investors in structuring investments, accessing public funding schemes, and preparing business plans for growth and expansion. He works with both Maltese and international clients across sectors including hospitality, technology, manufacturing, and the creative industries, assisting with financial modelling, funding applications, and strategic investment planning.

Albert speaks English and Maltese.

Assistant Client Accountant

Alexandra Annor

Alexandra joined Sheltons in 2023 and is an Assistant Client Accountant at Sheltons office in Malta.

Alexandra has an academic background in Business Management, with a specialization in accounting. She recently completed a course in Tax Compliance with the Malta Institute of Taxation, further strengthening her knowledge of taxation practices and regulatory requirements in Malta.

Alexandra works with both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta, assisting with a wide variety of bookkeeping, corporate, payroll, year-end procedures, finance and accounting matters.

Alexandra speaks English and understands Maltese.

Assistant Client Accountant

Anas Panikkaveettil

Anas Panikkaveettil joined Sheltons in 2025 and is an Assistant Client Accountant at Shelton’s office in Malta.

He is currently completing his professional education in Malta with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

Anas works with both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta, assisting with a wide variety of bookkeeping, corporate, finance and accounting matters.

Director

Andrew Woods

Andrew Woods joined Sheltons in 2012 and is the director in charge of the Sheltons office in London, UK as well as being a director of Sheltons in Malta.

Originally, from the United Kingdom, Andrew graduated from the Institute of Management Accountants, Oxford. Prior to joining Sheltons, Andrew worked for a publicly listed biotech company as Chief Accountant and was instrumental in the initial offering of the company and then in further fundraising rounds with major investors from around the world. Andrew was heavily involved in the M&A of three European entities along with the opening and management of their US subsidiary in Rockerway New Jersey.

Andrew moved to Copenhagen in 2007 with the biotech company and then joined Sheltons in 2012 working primarily with Danish company law, IFRS and Danish accounting. In 2013, he became the director in charge of the Sheltons office in Denmark.

Since 2018, Andrew transitioned to our London office and is now the Director in charge in the UK.
In addition to this, Andrew is still acting as Company Secretary for a UK publicly listed company and sits on the Board of the Danish Rugby League Foundation along with other Danish client companies.

Client Manager

Anthony Sciberras

Anthony commenced his tenure at Sheltons as Client Manager in Malta on 12 June 2023. He graduated from the University of Malta with a degree in Management Studies in June 2012 and is presently advancing his professional qualifications by pursuing ACCA certification in Malta.

His academic achievements and extensive professional experience, including his role at the Malta Business Registry, have contributed to his comprehensive technical expertise in corporate and regulatory affairs, as well as a robust paralegal-oriented skill set.

Anthony’s career trajectory encompasses a variety of sectors, beginning with construction and subsequently moving into tourism, retail, and the public sector. In his current capacity as Client Manager, he acts as the principal contact for clients, providing support across a broad spectrum of corporate matters and leveraging his diverse industry knowledge.  Anthony is meticulous in his work, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering tailored solutions for each client in compliance with international and local regulations standards.

He is proficient in English, Maltese, Italian, and French, both in written and spoken communication.  Outside of his professional commitments, Anthony enjoys working on home DIY projects.

Client Accountant

Antonio Colonna

Antonio joined Sheltons in 2022 and is a Client Accountant within Sheltons Malta office, also supporting the operations of Sheltons Italy.

Antonio obtained a Master’s Degree in Economics and Management from the University of Bari, Italy, in 2014, and holds the prestigious ACCA qualification in Malta (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence in the field of accountancy.

In his capacity as Client Accountant at Sheltons Malta, Antonio provides comprehensive accounting and advisory services to both Maltese and international clients operating within Malta. His responsibilities encompass overseeing bookkeeping processes, managing corporate compliance, and delivering tailored financial solutions to meet diverse client needs. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in supporting international clients seeking to establish or expand their business operations in Italy, collaborating closely with the firm’s Milan office to facilitate seamless cross-border transactions and ensure compliance with local financial regulations.

Antonio is fluent in both Italian and English.

Tax Director

Brian Borg

Brian joined Sheltons in 2017 and is currently the Director of Operations at the Sheltons office in Malta where he oversees internal processes, team development, and operational efficiency.

In 2021, Brian obtained his Master’s in Accountancy through ACCA, becoming an Associate Chartered Certified Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant registered with the Accountancy Board in Malta. His passion for taxation led him to also pursue an Advanced Master’s in International Taxation at the renowned University of Amsterdam, which he completed successfully in 2024. His thesis examined the tax regimes available to high‑net‑worth individuals across Europe, with particular attention to the social considerations influencing applicants’ decisions.

Brian advises both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta, assisting with a broad range of tax, corporate, finance, and accounting matters.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys unwinding with a Ken Follett or Stephen King novel, or free‑diving along the Maltese coastline.

He speaks English and Maltese and is fluent in Italian.

Celene Buttigieg

Celene Buttigieg joined Sheltons in 2022 and is a Client Manager at Sheltons office in Malta.

In her capacity as Client Manager, Celene is responsible for overseeing the needs of a diverse portfolio of clients, both local and international, who conduct business operations within Malta. Her core duties encompass managing a broad spectrum of services, including bookkeeping, corporate administration, financial planning and reporting, as well as accounting matters. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail and her commitment to delivering tailored solutions to each client, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.

Celene is currently advancing her professional qualifications in Malta by pursuing the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

Outside of her professional commitments, you will find Celene boating around the Maltese islands.

Celene is fluent in both English and Maltese.

Office & HR Manager

Debbie Xuereb

Debbie joined Sheltons in 2023 and is the Office & HR Manager at Sheltons office in Malta.

She holds qualifications in Office Management and Business Administration and is currently pursuing further studies in HR Management to continue strengthening her expertise and professional portfolio.

While Debbie does not work directly with clients, she supports the team by making sure that everyone in the office has the comfort, resources, and tools necessary to perform their work efficiently and effectively.

In her free time, Debbie enjoys travelling, photography, camping, outdoor activities, and reading.

Debbie is fluent in Maltese, English and Italian.

Assistant Client Accounting

Dyessy Lopes Triches

Dyessy joined Sheltons in 2024 and is a/an Assistant Client Accountant at Sheltons office in Malta.

She combines a technical background in Business Administration with a command of ISO auditing standards. Her professional foundation is built on six years of dedicated practice within the Maltese accounting landscape.

She manages a portfolio of Maltese and international clients, overseeing the full accounting cycle. Her role includes VAT compliance (Malta and UK), OSS (One-Stop Shop), and Recap declarations. She is responsible for bookkeeping, client account management, and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance at every stage.

Outside of her accounting work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and practicing meditation. She has a keen interest in self-development and spends time studying various subjects related to the mind and mental well-being.

Dyessy speaks English and Portuguese.

Head of Corporate Advisory

Francesca Sant

Francesca joined Sheltons in early 2026 and is the Head of Corporate Advisory at Sheltons office in Malta. 

She graduated from the University of Malta with a BA (Hons) in 2008, and in 2025 she further strengthened her academic and professional foundation by obtaining a Masters in Business Administration. Other qualifications obtained during her academic career include the IFSP: Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Management, the Compliance in Financial Services & MLRO Professional Certificate. She has also been awarded a Diploma in Company Law, as well as the Certified Risk Manager Professional (CRMP) certification.  

Francesca is a corporate services professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry, specialising in corporate administration, client relationship management, and regulatory compliance. Over the years, she has developed a strong track record of delivering high-quality service, building trusted relationships, and navigating complex regulatory environments.  

During her free time, Francesca enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking with her partner and their dog, whether across the Maltese islands or further afield. She has a strong passion for travel, having explored destinations both within Europe and internationally, with a particular affinity for Asian cultures and destinations. She also enjoys unwinding with a good bottle of wine and a gripping crime series. 

Francesca is fluent in English and Maltese and is also proficient in Italian. 

Partner

Ivan Zammit

Ivan joined Sheltons in 2006 in Denmark and soon after became director in charge of our Copenhagen office. Ivan is nowadays the partner in charge of our Malta office as well as a director of Sheltons Italy.

After receiving his Adv. LLM in international tax law, Ivan accepted a position as a teaching assistant at the International Tax Centre (ITC Leiden) at Leiden University, The Netherlands, where he was involved in the ‘Fundamentals of International taxation’ and ‘Tax treaties’ courses. He continues to lecture on a regular basis on courses organised by ITC Leiden, with particular focus on Transfer Pricing. He also lectures yearly on various areas of international tax law.

Ivan advises private clients as well as multinational groups on a wide range of tax related areas typically involving cross-border activities. His specialisation includes:

• Personal tax planning (especially upon relocation within the EU)
• Transfer pricing
• APAs, Tax rulings and opinions
• Tax accounting for complex transactions
• Best practice review for corporate income taxes

Ivan speaks English and Maltese and is fluent in Danish and Italian. He also reads Spanish and French.

Jade Fenech

Jade Fenech joined Sheltons in 2025 and is the Lawyer – Head of Legal at Sheltons office in Malta.

She is a lawyer by profession, warranted to practice law in the Courts of Malta, and is also warranted to practice as a Commissioner for Oaths. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Masters of Advocacy from the University of Malta, being admitted to the bar in 2019. Jade also holds a Masters in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies from the University of Malta.

Jade leads the Corporate & Advisory department within Sheltons and works with both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta, assisting with a wide variety of corporate, legal, immigration, and business advisory matters.

During her free-time, Jade enjoys reading, dancing and seasonal outdoor activities.

Jessica Vella Verzin

Jessica joined Sheltons in 2025 and is a Client Accountant at Sheltons office in Malta.

She is currently pursuing her professional education in Malta with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She has also completed a Hospitality Management and Business Elevation Program at Harvard University.

As a Client Accountant at Sheltons in Malta, Jessica is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of client accounts and maintaining accurate financial records. She regularly prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements. Her role encompasses supporting clients with VAT returns, tax filings, and audits. Jessica also serves as a key point of contact for clients, providing timely financial updates and addressing any enquiries to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Pamela Scerri

Pamela Scerri joined Sheltons in 2026 and is a Client Manager at Sheltons office in Malta.

She has a bachelor’s in business administration and just completed a certification with ICA in Anti Money Laundering.

Pamela works with both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta, assisting with a wide variety of corporate matters. In her capacity as Client Manager at the Sheltons office in Malta, she provides tailored support to clients by overseeing company formations, corporate governance, and compliance requirements. Pamela also advises on regulatory issues, facilitates business operations, and acts as a key point of contact for clients seeking guidance on local business practices. Her role involves collaborating closely with clients to ensure their businesses are structured efficiently and in accordance with Maltese legislation, as well as coordinating with internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet clients’ needs.

Pravin Narwani

Pravin joined Sheltons in June 2015, and is a Director of the Sheltons office in Malta.

Pravin currently leads the business development function at our Malta office, with a particular focus on ensuring the seamless onboarding and establishment of new clients. Drawing on his extensive knowledge across a range of corporate matters, Pravin’s primary responsibility is to guide clients through the setup of their personal and corporate affairs in Malta, delivering a smooth and efficient experience from the outset.

As a qualified Maltese accountant with over 15 years’ experience in accounting services within various Maltese private companies, Pravin has consistently worked with international clients operating in Malta. He provides expert support on a wide spectrum of corporate, finance and accounting matters, ensuring new clients are welcomed and settled into their business operations with confidence.

Pravin is fluent in English and Maltese.

Associate Leader – Internal Finance and Administration

Roberta Gauci

Roberta joined Sheltons in 2025 and is an Associate Leader at Sheltons office in Malta.

She is a fully qualified and warranted accountant and is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

Roberta serves as Sheltons’ internal accountant, responsible for the full scope of in-house financial operation; from day-to-day bookkeeping to the preparation of management-level financial information whilst ensuring that all internal accounting processes are handled accurately and professionally.

During her free time, Roberta is actively involved in volunteer work with children, dedicating her energy to supporting and enriching their development.

Senior Corporate Manager

Stefan Manara

Stefan Manara joined Sheltons in February 2025 and is a Senior Corporate Manager based at the firm’s Malta office.

He forms part of the Corporate Services team, where he plays a key role in overseeing client portfolios and supporting the delivery of high-quality corporate administration services.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Law and a Diploma of Legal Procurator, bringing a strong legal foundation to his corporate services work. He has developed solid experience assisting both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta across a broad spectrum of corporate governance and administrative matters.

In his role, Stefan manages client relationships, supervises team workflows, and ensures that corporate obligations are handled efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. He is particularly focused on maintaining service excellence and supporting clients in navigating Malta’s corporate framework.

Outside of work, Stefan enjoys spending quality time with his family and keeping active.

Stefan speaks Maltese and English natively and has a good working knowledge of Italian.

Vijay Kumar Ravichandra

Vijay joined Sheltons in 2022 and is an Assistant Client Accountant at Sheltons office in Malta.

He graduated with a Master’s in International Accounting and Management from the University of Siena, Italy. He also specialized in advanced mastery of digital marketing.

Vijay works with both Maltese and international clients operating in Malta, assisting with a wide variety of bookkeeping, corporate, finance and accounting matters.

During his free time, he enjoys riding motorcycles, trekking, and video editing.
